Evgeny (Eugene) Shabash commenced on his professional journey in the field of addiction and mental health after completing his graduate degree in medicine, specializing in psychiatry. With over 25 years of extensive experience, he has served within this domain across various locations, including Kazakhstan, Israel, and Canada, operating in both inpatient and outpatient environments. During his tenure in Israel, in addition to his clinical responsibilities, Eugene engaged in research activities focused on investigating the advantages and potential side effects of psychotropic medications. Residing in Canada since 2004, Eugene has been working with Alberta Health Services since 2005, assuming diverse clinical and leadership roles. Concurrently, while working in this capacity, he pursued a Master of Social Work degree at the University of Calgary, accomplishing this milestone in 2014 through part-time study.
